October

At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

 

10.28.2019

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • The ID Page was completely renovated.  It has the same great look and functionality and operates more efficiently.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Prezi changed the structure of their share URLs.  As a result, those URLs no longer worked when used with the Prezi gizmo in an ePortfolio.  The gizmo was updated to handle the new URLs.  It will still display older URL formats, too.
  • The program/group filter used for selecting students to inculde on an evaluation was not displaying the students in the selected program and group.
  • The External Form report was throwing an error if there were no records to return for the selected parameters.
  • The 'back to criteria' button on the Dynamic Configurable Report was pointing to the wrong place in the report set up process.
  • The Form Comparison report was causing an error prior to selecting the forms to compare.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made changes to our Forgot Password system for users who enter an email address that is not attached to a Foliotek account.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Administrators would experience an error if they clicked on the To-Do link in the left navigation menu of their Assessment account.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made improvements to our LTI system when new users come into Foliotek for the first time.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The email subscription options in the Foliotek Presentation Account Settings area were not saving changes.
  • For some institutions the Help and Chat buttons in the top bar were pointing to the wrong help and chat links.
  • Faculty members may have seen students listed multiple times when using the student search.  Students were being listed once for each connection the faculty member had to that student.  This issue did not affect any data or evaluations that were completed.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Nothing new this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The student search in faculty accounts could be very slow.  All of the user searches in Foliotek Assessment were optimized and should work more efficiently.
  • The public view of the ID Page was not properly displaying the background.
  • Some students who were promoted to the Moderator role in a community were getting a permissions error when attempting to access the moderator functions for the community.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • Next week we will be releasing some updates to our LTI system.  Users should not notice any differences in the way they connect to Foliotek.
