At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

 

4.29.2019

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • An upgrade was made to Foliotek's infrastructure.  You shouldn't see anything different, it just works better.  As you've probably noticed, we have been making some regular improvements to Foliotek's infrastructure.  These improvements are being done in phases to limit the risk involved when these areas are updated.  We appreciate your patience as we strive to make Foliotek better.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • An issue was fixed that caused ePortfolios to be duplicated inside the portfolio when they were created from a template that was a copy of an existing presentation portfolio.
  • We made an adjustment to the way our Accessiblity mode works for faculty and administrators who were viewing the elements in a student's portfolio.
  • Project page titles will now be limited to 256 characters.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • An upgrade was made to Foliotek's infrastructure.  You shouldn't see anything different, it just works better.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The schedule transfer link for edTPA transfers was not being made visible at the correct time.  This error has been corrected and edTPA portfolios can now be transferred.

  • Scoring Guides that used expectations were not showing the buttons to select the scores on some evaluations.
  • Administrators were unable to set up new evaluations due to the evaluation modal not loading when the +add evaluation button was clicked.
  • The link in the email that is sent when an ePortfolio is shared privately was not opening the portfolio for viewing.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We increased the default storage space for all users.
  • An upgrade was made to Foliotek's infrastructure.  You shouldn't see anything different, it just works better.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • When running a Scoring Guide report, if an administrator clicked on the 'back to criteria' button the link would go to the Evaluation report, rather than back to the Scoring Guide report.
  • An adjustment was made to better handle the Contact Me area of the ID page on mobile devices.
  • Some users were getting an error when trying to export a Presentation portfolio with 50 or more pages.
  • The Scoring Guide report was running slow when large amounts of data were being pulled.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made some improvements to the way the ID page works on mobile devices.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The video transcode system broke and caused some large video files to not be properly uploaded.  If you find a video in your account that doesn't work, please attempt to upload it again.
  • Project cover images were being blurred when they shouldn't have been.
  • The Facebook link on the ID page was not properly connecting to Facebook.  This was fixed, along with the ability to login to Foliotek using your Facebook login credentials.
  • The link used to connect your ID page to LinkedIn was not working.

  • The algorithm used to auto-create passwords when sending new student registration emails was producing some unacceptable passwords.  This algorithm was corrected and now creates usable passwords.
  • The 'view results' link for Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations at the section and element levels was not correctly producing the URL for the evaluation results.  That link will now take the user to the scored evaluation.

  • Administrators who used the Portfolio-Integrated Evaluation Submission report were unable to cancel the notification email if they had clicked the link to notify the student.
  • When administrators uploaded a list of students to register, the back button wasn't working when trying to return to the Mappings page without finsihing the registrations.
  • Some emails notifying external evaluators of evaluations they needed to complete were not bing sent.
  • Attempting to access Acclaim badges from the ID page badges area was not properly connecting to Acclaim.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We updated some of our background systems.  You shouldn't notice anything different.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • The top navigation bar in Foliotek Presentation wasn't being properly displayed on the dashboard and ID page when viewed on a mobile device.
  • When an administrator would send a student a password reset email, the link in the email would not work when the student clicked on it.
  • Some LTI users were having issues using the reset password option in the Account Settings area.
  • Administrators using the Registration report were unable to export it to Excel.
