At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry...nothing new this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Scoring Guide previews were not working.
  • Project Reflection questions were not properly displyaing the answers for certain question types when the project was viewed by students or moderators.
  • We made some improvements to the search feature in anonymous evaluations.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We revamped the Standard Assessment report.  It now combines evaluation data on standards in a better and easier to use report.  Contact your Foliotek Consultant to learn how this new report works.

Standard Assessments Report

  • The ability to crop and rotate images in an ePortfolio is finally live!  You can edit single images or work with images in a slideshow, grid, or splat.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Students were able to see evaluation scores on the Current tab in their 'Evaluations' area while the evaluations were in progress.
  • Checkbox questions used in Project reflection questions were showing all options checked, even when the student had only selected some of the answers.
  • The Unsubmitted External Form report was not removing forms when an admin selected them and used the remove form button.
  • The submission deadline was not being displayed to the student for an evaluation that had been set up to allow the student to submit early but automatically submit at a set day and time.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry nothing new this week...we have a couple things that will be ready very soon, though.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • There was an issue when moderators tried to view reflection responses when scoring project templates.
  • The 'view status' box was not properly aligned when administrators were reviewing evaluation data.
  • The Quick Publish option for completed evaluations wasn't showing any evaluations to publish.
  • When a student shared an ePortfolio in a community, it looked like the portfolio had been made collaborative instead.
  • Faculty members with administrative permissions to run reports could not use the Evaluation report if they did not have permissions to all groups in a program.
  • The 'save your changes' warning when viewing a Zoho document was being shown when no changes had been made.
  • Some issues with editing and saving excel and powerpoint documents in Zoho were corrected.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • Cropping portfolio images is so close!  We want it as close to perfect as we can get it, though, and that'll take one more week.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • For institutions that are creating their own Foliotek badges, we added the ability to use the color's hex number so you can get just the right color and keep badge color consistent if you want to.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • We reduced the hover area for 'Files' when viewing the list of students in an evaluation.
  • We cleaned up the 'size' slider when resizing an image in a portfolio.
  • Some institutions were getting an error when attempting to run a Portfolio Form report on certain forms.

  • Work on the ability to crop and rotate images that are used in an ePortfolio is almost done!

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry...nothing new this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • We made a couple tweaks to the way projects are displayed on the ID page.
  • We improved the way forms are saved in an Assessment portfolio.
  • Google Chrome made an update that negatively effected the way the Instrcutions area opens in a Project.  We made an adjustment to correct this visual issue.
  • If a student shared the same element of their portfolio with multiple users, the To-do list notification for the first user would be removed.  Now all notifications remain in the To-do list.
  • If a user unshared a page in an ePortfolio that had been shared publicly, the change to the page would not be saved.  Now unsharing or removing pages is saved and reflected in the shared version of the ePortfolio.

  • We've started working on the ability to crop and rotate images that are used in an ePortfolio.  This ability already exists for Projects, now it is being expanded to include Portfolios.
