At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

 

5.28.2019

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made another infrastructure update.  This time we made an improvement to the way Foliotek handles images, you shouldn't notice any difference.
  • We increased security on Foliotek.  The minimum standard for new passwords in now 10 characters.  The requirement for one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, one number, and one special character is still in place.  Existing passwords do not have to be updated to meet this new requirement.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Attempting to export a Portfolio Form report to PDF and including the text answers was not displaying the text answers in the PDF.
  • Some students were double-clicking the confirm button when submitting Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations which would submit the evaluation twice.  We made a change so that it is impossible to click the button more than once.
  • We cleaned up the ID Page links area.  It was possbile to click the save button without properly completing all of the link information.
  • A few students were getting an error when attempting to view a collaborative element in Foliotek Assessment.
  • Some administrators were getting an error when uploading new student accounts by double-clicking the finish button.  We changed this process.  It is now impossible to double-click the finish button.
  • Evaluators now have the ability to decline or re-assign Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations up until the point where they click the Publish this Evaluation button.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • The Student Activity report is being updated to better track student logins, especially SAML logins.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made another infrastructure update.  You shouldn't notice any difference in the way Foliotek works, we just want you to know it is more efficient now.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Moderators who attempted to edit a community portfolio template were getting an error message.
  • Students who were attempting to submit a Portfolio-Integrated Evaluation at the section level were unable to do so if one of the elements in the section did not contain any files.
  • The Totals chart on the Pass Rates report wasn't correctly displaying the data.
  • Zoho was adding an extra file extension to documents that had been edited by a faculty member.
  • We added a notification in Internet Explorer 11 explaining that Foliotek no longer supports that browser.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Some faculty members were having difficulty declining Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations that had been assigned to them.
  • The portfolio element 'jump to' filter wasn't working for administrators and faculty members who were viewing a students by-topic portfolio.

  • Improvements were made to the way Foliotek alerts a student who lets their account sit inactive for more than 2 hours in the Presentation portfolio editor.
  • When building a Presentation portfolio, some of the gizmo adjustments were not working properly if they were controlled by a slider.

Gizmo Sliders

  • The Records tab on the Portfolio Form report was not displaying the records.
  • The Portfolio Form report export to Excel function was optimized to reduce errors when reports with a lot of data are exported.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry, nothing new this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Some portfolio elements containing forms were loading very slowly.  Steps were taken to optimize these types of elements so they should load much faster now.
  • Students who were given moderator status for a Presentation community, were not being properly assigned that role when viewing the community.
  • An adjustment was made to the time-stamp on the Standard Alignment report.
  • The 'Files' preview link will now open for faculty submitted Portfolio-Integrated Evaluations.
  • The My Assessments tab in Foliotek Presentation was optimized to load more quickly and better display submitted dates for evaluations.
