Presentation   2016   June

June

At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

6.27.2016

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • You can now easily find out which communities a particular project is shared in.  When viewing the community page, use the Projects dropdown, select the desired project and you will be shown a list of the communities that project has been shared in.

Project Community Finder

  • When viewing a community, the Members tab will now appear first, followed by the ePortfolios tab and then the Projects tab.  They contain the same information as before, we simply rearranged the order based on requests from our users.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • When moderators were creating a Project template, they were unable to add their own reflection questions.  This has been corrected.
  • On the ID Page, it was possible to click the button to add a resume even if you hadn't uploaded a document yet.  This ability has been removed.
  • If a unit on an evaluation was set to hide the student work for a performance evaluation, student work uploaded into previous units would disappear from the evaluation after the evaluator clicked into the performance unit.  All work now remains in the proper units.
  • The faculty view of a student's portfolio was incorrectly displaying the order of section groups, sections, and elements when section groups were used.  This has been resolved.
  • When a report utilized a pie chart, the pie colors and text color made it difficult to read the percentages for each piece.  The text color has been changed to black.
  • The Dynamic Configurable Report was not displaying the complete score when an Overall unit was present and used the slider to select the score.  These scores will now be displayed properly.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • We are working on some new capabilities for images on project pages.  Soon you will be able to crop them, rotate them, etc...
  • The project reflection questions are being improved.  In the near future, moderators will be able to add multiple choice, text box and other question types to project pages.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We released a new report!  The Standard Aggregate Report combines all the scores given on a particular standard.  The report can be run on an individual standard or, if you prefer, all standards in a list can be displayed.  This report has the ability to aggregate scores even if evaluations use different scoring levels.  Administrators have the ability to change how those scoring levels are grouped to customize the report to meet their needs.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • The file counter that tracks the number of files a student used in a project was miscounting some pages.  This count has been fixed and it now shows the correct number.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We re-styled our login page.  All the important stuff is still there, we just moved things around a bit.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • A change was made so that faculty with administrator permissions to programs and groups would be given permissions matching the other groups in the program when they create a new group for students.
  • Community project templates that were not aligned to standards were not allowing students to re-use the template.  This issue has been resolved.
  • The 'create evaluation' button to finish building a manual evaluation was requiring two clicks when the evaluation was set to allow students to submit it without a deadline.  This is fixed.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry...nothing new this week.

What we fixed

Several issues were fixed this past week:

  • When students shared a portfolio in a community, but had not yet created their ID Page, the system was unable to insert a name into the community member portfolio listing.  It now uses other locations to correctly populate the student's name in the list.
  • If an administrator removed an evaluation from the Evaluations area and then attempted to add another evalutation, the 'Add Evaluation' button wouldn't work.  This issue has been resolved.
  • The system was not placing revision evaluations into student accounts when a revision was manually added to a Portfolio-Integrated Evaluation.  This problem has been fixed.

What we're working on

Watch for these items to be released in the next few weeks:

  • Sorry...nothing close enough to mention right now.
