At Foliotek, we work hard to provide the best assessment and portfolio software possible.  To do that, we make changes every week.  Sometimes we fix things that don't work, other times we release new features to improve your experience.  Below you will find a description of the changes we have made this month.

 

1.28.2019

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made some improvements to our LTI system.
  • We updated the infrastructure that controls exporting assessment portfolios and uploading new users into Foliotek.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Administrators and faculty members were inadvertently being shown the Billing tab in their Account Settings area.  If they clicked on the Billing tab, it would revert their account to a basic user account.
  • The captcha was being shown to some moderators when they attempted to leave feedback on a student's ePortfolio from inside a community.  The captcha will no longer be shown when moderators are viewing portfolios while inside a community.

  • The Records tab on the Portfolio Form report was timing out, even when there were only a few records in the report.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We made some improvements to the way Foliotek Presentation handles screenshots and portfolio exports.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • Some Presentation accounts were unable to access the Portfolio management screen.  All users should be able to access this page now.
  • If a user created a portfolio using the Blank template, the page names would not match when clicking between pages in the portfolio editor.
  • For some evaluations, comments that were published as a part of an aggregate score were showing all comments on every unit rather than each unit showing only the comments left for it.
  • Scoring guide preview links were requiring the user to login to Foliotek to view the scoring guide.  Logging in should not be required for these types of links.
  • Manually adding revisions to course evaluations was not properly assigning the selected evaluator to the revision evaluation.
  • Portfolio Form reports on data collected from forms in student-added elements were not properly displaying all of the data.
  • Inline documents used in Presentation portfolios will now open when the portfolio is exported to a zip file.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • Sorry, nothing new this week.

What we fixed

These issues were fixed this past week:

  • We added some duplicate information checks when an administrator is uploading new faculty accounts from an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Administrators were getting an error when trying to export a Standards Assessment report to PDF.
  • We corrected some visual issues in the Presentation buttons slider when going from Assessment to Foliotek Presentation.
  • The dashboard preview link for new users wasn't working properly.
  • Some improvements were made to increase the loading speed of the Portfolio managment screen.
  • If a user chose to click the browser back button when viewing their Presentation files area, it could cause the files listing to be doubled.
  • Administrators viewing a student's Form Summary tab were not being shown the entire answer entered by a student.
  • When a user was working on a project, it was possible for them to be timed out of the system while they were still working.

What's new

We released some new features and upgrades this week:

  • We increased the number of audio file types that can be played directly from Project pages.  We now support .mp3, .m4a, .aac, and .wav files.  Once uploaded, an audio player is placed on the project page and can be used to listen to the file.  Unsupported file types can be uploaded, but those files must be downloaded to listen to them.

  • The top black tool bar in Foliotek Presentation was not properly styled in the ID page and portfolio editors.
  • The filtering options on the Standards Assessment report were broken.
