How do I deactivate a group, and what does this accomplish?

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Programs & Groups from within the Assessment menu
  2. Mouse over the Actions link next to the program which contains the group you wish to deactivate
  3. Click View/Edit Groups
  4. In the active column, on the right side of the screen, click on the empty circle next to the green circle in the row for the group you wish to deactivate. This will remove this group from the Groups screen.  You may wish to deactivate any groups which are no longer being used.  This can make navigating this screen easier.  To locate a group that has been deactivated, simply check the 'Include Inactive' box when using the search engine to find a group.
