Scoring Guides
What is the difference between a Scoring Guide Template and a Published Scoring Guide?
A Scoring Guide Template is what will be built to assess student
portfolios. When this Scoring Guide is used to score an
evaluation, a published version of the Scoring Guide is
created. This allows for revisions to an existing Scoring
Guide to take place in a way that will not affect any data
previously collected. One Scoring Guide Template can have
several versions of a Published Scoring Guide, this allows the
institution to use old versions of a Scoring Guide to conduct
evaluations even after revisions have been made.
The real importance is preservation of data. You will be
able to run a scoring guide report for any published version of any
scoring guide.
